Rose 's Story
Moved to SA and attended Sam Rayburn along with Our Lady of Victory Girls School where I boarded for a year. I was a member of the Military Aqua Brats where I swam on the swim team until I got into high school. I attended JJ where I graduated in 73' Unfortunately I spent much of my time skipping out of school and running away from a dysfunctional home life I was taken in by my BFF's (Kim Hudson)family and lived with them until graduation. I spent several years partying and looking for love in all the wrong places until my bio family moved to California in 1974 where I eventually moved to try and join my mom who had divorced my father. I worked as a lighting tech for several major motion picture studios thanks to my younger sister Carmen who was working for the studio utilities union at the time and help me get my start in the industry. It was the most exciting yet physically demanding job I've ever had to do. I was working on many popular TV shows of the 70's and was on the crew for the feature film "Midway" with Charlton Heston. I eventually moved from Southern California to Northern California where I worked mainly as a florist. I even tried my hand at being self employed doing wedding flowers for a while. I met my husband and have been married 25 years. DH and I worked for over 15 years in his landscape company then we decided to start a family after five years of marriage. My DH decided to go work for a local municipality. I was a SAHM for both my boys (see pictures of them now in photo section)advocating for their education and special needs services. My older son has BiPolar Disorder and ADHD which has been a challenge for all of us but he eve...Expand for more
n though he had social challenges he has graduated high school and attends San Jose City College currently. He loves to work on computers and is my little scientist. My younger son is still in high school and is a gifted artist. I am currently unemployed and handicapped with Osteoarthritis and must use a walker or cane to get around. It's hard for me to accept that with such an active life I had that now I can barely move from one room to another but I have much to be thankful for and one thing I do cherish is the many friends I made in school and how many of the old friends from school still keep in touch even so many years later. Hopefully one day I'll make it to one of the reunions and will be able to say thanks in person to many of you who stood with me when times were tough, laughed with me with times were good, cried with me with times were sad....many of you were my extended family of sorts and for that I am grateful.
May you all find happiness, peace and good health in your life and joy in your heart.

UPDATE...My husband of 28 years filed for divorce in 2009 although we are still going thru the process....the marriage is over. It's been tough but God is faithful and just. It will be interesting to see where I land next. I'm still in Northern California and have two grown sons who are my blessings.
UPDATE of the Update...
I'm still in NorCal...the weather has me spoiled...both sons moved to Arizona to spread their eaglet wings and be closer to their Father....Lord willing they'll all soar to great hights in life and love.
Living in the BIG city has it's pros and cons but I'm where God has me for now.
Keep looking up!
